The Jewish Quarterly Marketing & Partnerships Manager

The Jewish Quarterly is seeking a Marketing & Partnerships expert to lead the promotion and growth of the recently relaunched journal. The successful candidate will be responsible for devising and implementing strategies for subscription growth and sales, developing partnerships in the UK, US and Australia, writing copy, briefing and managing all advertising and marketing collateral and EDMs, collaborating with the Editor to program speakers for events, overseeing international distribution, website management and managing freelance publicists.

Working with assistance from The Jewish Quarterly Marketing & Editorial Coordinator, the Marketing & Partnerships Manager will have excellent copywriting, communication and problem solving skills and marketing and partnerships experience.

This is a permanent part-time role of 22.5 hours per week, and the role requires occasional flexibility in hours for online meetings with the UK.

Founded in 1953, The Jewish Quarterly has cultivated literary journalism of the highest standard for almost 70 years. Previously based in London, The Jewish Quarterly is now published from Melbourne and is edited by Jonathan Pearlman and distributed internationally. Each issue features a major political or cultural theme, investigated in long-form essays by prominent writers and public intellectuals from around the world.


Key skills and experience

  • Proven marketing and partnerships experience
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and Google Analytics
  • Website, CMS and CRM experience
  • Experience with email automation software (Campaign Monitor highly desirable)
  • Experience in subscriptions and distribution desirable
  • High-level stakeholder management experience

Hours: Permanent part-time, three days per week

Salary: Commensurate with experience
